8 steps that will help you

8 non-obvious steps that will help you make your first million

Money is not the main thing. Not in the long run. Depending on how you define success for yourself, money can be dropped far down the list. And everyone understands success differently for themselves. I understand it this way: success is when people who believe in you look brilliant. For me, money is by no means everything, but I confess that it was once key (probably because I didn't have too much of it).

Suppose money is on your list. And let's say, like a lot of other people, you want to be a millionaire. What do you need to do to improve your chances of joining the millionaire's club? I would suggest exploring, How to play online casino. They can't be called easy. But they are more likely to work than the easy and quick way.

Get over your obsession with money

Even though it sounds counterintuitive, focus on how much it distracts you from the things that could really help in building a growing fortune. Change your perspective. View money not as a primary goal, but as a result of doing things right.

Keep in mind how many people you've helped, even if only slightly.

The most successful people I know - financially and otherwise - are always willing to help. They are incredibly good at understanding other people's problems and helping them achieve their goals. They understand that their success is based on the success of the people around them.

So they work hard to make other people successful: their employees, their customers, their suppliers. Because they know that if they achieve that, then their own success will follow. That means they've built a business or a career that they can truly be proud of.

Stop thinking about making a million dollars. Think about meeting the needs of a million people

If you only have a couple or three clients and your goal is to make a lot of money, you're going to try to suck the last dollar out of those people. But if you find a way to meet the demand of a million customers, a lot of benefits will follow. The effect of word-of-mouth radio is hard to overstate. The feedback you get will help improve your product or service. You'll have to hire new employees, and you'll be able to learn from their experience, their skills and, ultimately, their awesomeness.

And in an instant, your business will turn into something totally great, something you never dreamed of. All thanks to your customers and your employees, who will take you to places you never thought possible.

Meet the demand of a million people-and do it very well-and the money will come to you.

Think of earning money as an opportunity to achieve more

There are two types of people. One is doing something for the sake of making money. The more they do, the more they earn. What exactly they do doesn't matter that much to them - they'll do anything as long as it pays off. Others make money because it allows them to create. They want to improve their product. They want to extend their line. They want to write a new book, a new song, a new painting. They love what they do, and they see making money as an opportunity to do even more. They dream of building a company that makes dreams come true, and they make money to have the resources to keep building.

If they manage to find a product that everyone wants and build up their capital with it, they try to constantly reinvest to make it better and better, right up to perfection.

"We don't make movies to make money. We make money to make movies," Walt Disney.

Do one thing better than another

Work on what you do better than others. Make it one thing. Just one thing. One thing. One thing. Maniacally focus on that one thing. Work on it. Practice. Learn. Practice. Evaluate. Improve. Be ruthlessly self-critical. Not to the point of masochism, but in a way that makes sure you work through every aspect of what you do.

Successful people are better at one thing than most of those around them. And if that something is also valued by the world, then the world is paying for it. Excellence is a reward in itself, but it also implies more value, more respect, a greater sense of self-sufficiency, a sense of fulfillment...all of which makes one richer, albeit in an intangible sense.

Win-win.

Make a list of the 10 most successful people in one thing

How do you choose this top ten? How do you determine who is the best? How is success measured? There are several criteria that help measure growth toward perfection.

If you're an author, it's an Amazon ranking. If you're a musician, look at the number of iTunes downloads of your songs. If you're a programmer, count how many people use your software. If you're a manager, ask yourself how many of your subordinates have made it to the top under your supervision? If you're an online retailer, see how many purchases are made per visitor to your site. Or check the conversion rate.

It is not enough to admire successful people. Take a closer look at what made them successful? Use this criterion to make an assessment of your own success. And then.

Consistently track your progress

As a rule, we become what we measure. So look at your progress at least once a week on key metrics. For example, you can measure how many people you've helped. Or how many clients you've served. Maybe you'll measure key steps on your way to becoming a leader in one thing. Or maybe it's a combination of several metrics.

Build processes that enable progress

Don't forget that you can't achieve a goal without building a process to achieve it. For example, you want to write a 200-page book. That's your goal. Your system for achieving that goal might involve writing four pages a day. That's your process. Wishing and hoping won't help you finish your work. But diligently following the process will help.

Let's say you want to get 100 new customers through inbound marketing. That's your goal, and your process is to create new content, videos, podcasts, pages, etc. Stick to those processes and deadlines on them, and if your content is good, you'll get your customers.

Set goals, stick to processes that support those goals, and measure your progress. Notice what's not working. Improve and repeat what works. Refine, revise, adapt and work hard every day, doing it all better than you did yesterday. Soon you will become good at what you do. Then you will become super-good. And one day you'll be world-class.

And then before you know it, you'll be a millionaire. If you want to be, of course.
